I displayed moments of my personality
you kept them in your corner
I made my echoes heard in the room
you manipulated the sound with windows
I drew lifetimes onto the walls
You ripped down the wallpaper
I walked out the door
And you shut it behind me
I cried on the porch
And you had moved away
I like the images in this poem. Well done!
Thank you.
It’s so cut and dried and defined, just like the person who shut the door on your love.
Sometimes its hard to know if the distance and the cold are being projected to you, or from you.
I like the emotion behind your poem. It appears here that you at odds with one who moved away. Each verse also hints at a sense of unrequited love! Very nice! ๐
Thank you for your comment. I was definitely going for more of the unrequited route. The house is more of a symble of the love (or lack) that was felt in a relationship.
Your welcome. Great metaphor! ๐
Your welcome! I can definetly see that.
